Welcome to the Ice Realm Youth Hockey League! Get ready for an exciting spring season filled with development, competition, and fun. Whether you're a beginner or a travel player looking to stay sharp, Ice Realm offers the perfect environment for skill growth, teamwork, and competitive play.

League Format
Game Format:
One-hour ice slots (Rink reserves the right to adjust rink schedule).
Two 25 minute run-time periods.
3-minute warm-up before puck drop.
If tied at the end of regulation:
One 3 minute run-time 3-on-3 sudden-death overtime
Each team will receive 1 point if still tied at the end of O.T.
League Rules and Conduct
Applies to 8U–17U Divisions and Girls 13–17U High School Division.
All players must:
Check in before each game.
Follow the USA Hockey Player Code of Conduct, including:
Respecting teammates, coaches, referees, and opponents at all times.
Maintaining good sportsmanship and a positive attitude on and off the ice.
Prioritizing safety, integrity, and teamwork in all aspects of participation.
USA Hockey Rules:
Penalties
Minor penalties result in a 2:00 Minute penalty
Teams are permitted to ice the puck on the penalty kill
Tag up off sides (delayed offsides).
Body Checking:
Not allowed in any division (8U–17U).
**Ice Realm-Scoring Cap Rule:
If a player scores more than three (3) goals in a single game, any additional goals will be awarded to the opposing team. This encourages playmaking and team play.
8U Special Format
All 8U games will be played half-ice or cross-ice following USA Hockey’s age-appropriate development guidelines.
Modified rules and full format details will be provided separately to participating teams.
Coaching Opportunities
We are actively seeking passionate coaches to join the Ice Realm family! Help shape the next generation of hockey players and foster a love for the game. All coaches must be USA Hockey-certified.
Coaches must:
Maintain valid USA Hockey and CAHA (California Amateur Hockey Association) coaching requirements and certifications. -
All Coaches must be approved by the Ice Realm Hockey Department Tomas@icerealm.com & Jen@icerealm.com
