At Ice Realm Westminster, we believe hockey should be fun and accessible for everyone. That’s why we’re offering Try Hockey for Free—a welcoming event for kids ages 4–12 to discover the sport in a supportive, family-friendly environment. No gear or experience is needed—we’ve got you covered!

What to Expect

  1. No Experience Needed – Perfect for first-time players. Our coaches and volunteers will guide every step.

  2. Free Loaner Gear – Skates, helmets, and sticks provided. Bring your own if you prefer.

  3. Professional Instruction – Certified coaches teach skating, puck handling, and teamwork in a stress-free environment.

  4. Fun On & Off the Ice – Meet other families, ask questions, and learn about youth hockey programs.

  5. Family-Friendly Atmosphere – We’re building community, not just hockey players.

  6. Next Steps in Hockey – After the event, learn how to continue with our Learn to Play Hockey programs.

Ever wanted to give ice hockey a try but weren’t sure where to start? Now’s your chance! Try Hockey for Free at Ice Realm Westminster is designed just for adults who want to get on the ice and experience the game—no prior experience required.

We’ll provide all the necessary equipment, so all you need to do is show up ready to have fun. Whether you’ve never skated before or just want to see what hockey is all about, our friendly coaches will guide you through the basics in a fun, supportive environment.
