High School Spring Girls League
Southern California Girls High School Hockey
Overview:
A competitive yet developmentally focused high school division for girls (8th - 12th graders) across Southern California. The league consists of 4 regional teams where players live and attend school.
We’re excited to share a few important updates as we continue building momentum for the Girls High School Spring Hockey League, proudly hosted by Ice Realm. Thank you to everyone who has submitted a registration or interest form! We’re thrilled with the response so far and are currently projecting four teams for this spring season.
Championship Weekend
We are thrilled by the success of the league this spring and cannot wait for our final weekend of the spring season! After a 6 game season, we want to celebrate together with a final championship weekend! Here are the games:
- June 15 @ 1:50pm -> Northern Valkyries vs Western Fury
- June 15 @ 3:00pm -> CHAMPIONSHIP GAME - Eastern Vipers vs Southern Scorch

Players must register based on their residential area. If a region lacks numbers, free agents can be allocated to balance teams.

Game Days & Locations:
- Games at Ice Realm -Westminster
Eligibility & Registration:
- Open to all high school girls in grades 8-12
- No prior experience in travel hockey required
- Players register as individuals and are placed on the regional team
League Features:
- Balanced Competitive Play: Teams are structured to ensure an even level of competition
- Short Season Format: Designed to end. by early June before school gets out, avoiding conflicts with travel hockey
- All Star Recognition: End-of-season All Star Recognition awards highlighting standout players
- Player Development Focus: Coaching and mentoring to help girls grow within the sport
- Help Us Grow the Game
We’re proud to share that USA Hockey and the LA Kings are supporting this initiative by helping us launch a Girls Try Hockey for Free event for brand-new players.
